The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter was produced under Not a Hollywood Sign Production, LLC., fueled by Tenacity Entertainment.
Tenacity Entertainment (official site [http://www.tenacityent.com/]) has been executive producing for television and film for over a decade. Headed by Lloyd Bryan Adams, Tenacity has produced for Fox Sports, Fuel TV, Extreme Sports Channel, Havoc Television, Ripe TV, Fuse, and more. After teaming-up with producer/director Mike Dorsey in 2003, the company shifted half of its focus to feature films. Together, Adams and Dorsey have produced three short films, two feature documentaries, and have run production departments at three channels, most recently at the Outdoor Channel.
In 2005, the Tenacity team met Scott Michaels, owner of Dearly Departed Tours (website [http://www.dearlydepartedtours.com/]) and the popular celebrity website FindADeath.com (link [http://www.findadeath.com/]). A partnership was formed with the creation of the Not a Hollywood Sign Production, LLC, and a half-hour television pilot, Dearly Departed: The Dark Side of Hollywood, was produced and pitched to several major cable networks through Tenacity’s representation at Abrams Artists Agency. Out of that project the Dearly Departed Feature DVD Series was born, with Adams, Dorsey and Michaels as principal officers.
Under Not a Hollywood SIgn Production, the three partners have produced two feature-length documentaries on the dark side of Hollywood, beginning with Dearly Departed: Vol. 1 (link [https://www.createspace.com/220015]) released in 2006, and the more recent release in 2009 of the Manson Family documentary, The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter. Along the way, they also produced a short project on the infamous Wonderland Murders (video [http://www.vimeo.com/1158214]) released online.
Future projects involve more feature documentary projects and online short documentaries like the Wonderland video.
